Luby's

My goodness, Luby's is still a great place to dine in peace and have a great meal. The variety of main dishes available always makes me anxious to go back for a different meal. The vegetables are fresh and the desserts are wonderful. What a great place to have lunch or dinner.

November 2024 My annual thanksgiving meal at Luby's to enjoy Turkey and Stuffing LuAnn Platter. They are extremely consistent in their cooking and love their food. Once again the turkey was tasty and the stuffing delightful. In the past year have dined here several times and recommend the square fried fish and fried chicken. I noticed the pork chops and will give it a try on my next visit. The service and atmosphere is always excellent, and the cafeteria is always perfectly clean. It's great place to bring your elderly parents or grandparents to.

Keeps getting better n better!! Special today was the chicken fried steak, fried potato and onions PLUS 2 sides !! For $14. Great big portions seasoned great and flavor great! I couldn't finish my meal, so much food and steak was huge. Lubys has been a family trading all my life. Lots of love for this restaurant!

This Luby's is just as good as I always remembered they were when I ate at them in Georgetown and San Marcos. Stumbled across this one today and the food is excellent. The portions are a good size and all of the food tastes delicious. I will definitely be coming back to this treasure. Hope you'll give it a try as well.

I come into luby's on slaughter Lane all the time for dinner or lunch because everybody is so friendly. The managers are awesome and Veronica and Leana are always there for me for refills or anything I need or just conversation with the wait staff or the managers. If it wasn't for these lovely people working here I may just go to a different restaurant. So it really matters how people treat you when you go into eat at a restaurant! Thank you guys! Luby’s is a great spot for comfort food, with a wide variety of choices that also includes some healthier options. It has a warm, family friendly atmosphere and often accommodates large groups. Considering the generous portions and the quality of the food, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. The restaurant is clean, and the staff are welcoming and friendly.

The food was pretty good as expected & prices are decent for individual or family meals. Service at the cafeteria style line is good & in the dining room floating help staff provide napkins & some pleasant though fairly minimal services like refilling water, possibly other soft drinks. The atmosphere is friendly & lively.

Our waitress Lianna was great!! She made sure our drinks, condiments and our experience was worth every bite. She was friendly and very courteous. Next time I go I hope to have her again!!
